With the successful Public launch of the UTU Protocol Testnet, we are now ready to start rolling out the next phase in UTU Protocol’s journey — our Testnet Incentive Program!
The mission of UTU Protocol is to become the trust infrastructure of the entire internet, replacing anonymous star ratings, reviews, and scores as the de facto trust mechanisms of our digital lives. To do that, we need a secure and reliable application and this is where we need your help. The UTU devs worked diligently to get the Public Testnet released, and now we turn to our amazing community and their collective wisdom and imagination to test it out and let us know how to make it better.
We need you to find anything that we may have missed and to test the application so that we can all have a reliable and secure platform to build from. With your help and participation in this initiative, UTU Protocol will get closer to its mission of becoming the trust layer for a cross-chain, DeFi and Web 3.0 world!
The Testnet Incentive Program will allow our community to earn $UTU rewards for contributing to the success of the Public Testnet in the following ways:
- Connect social networks on UTU app
- Make an endorsement on a DeFi Protocol staking UTT
- Identifying and Reporting Bugs
- Providing Meaningful Feedback on our Testnet UI/UX Design
- Promoting UTU Protocol’s Testnet via Social Channels
- Other tasks to be announced

🏆Prize pool
A total of 1,000,000 UTU tokens and 10 exclusive NFT’s will be distributed amongst the participants. The winners will be announced a week after the end of the program on July 7th 2022, and notified via email.
NOTE: Winners must respond within (2) two weeks from initial outreach to claim their prize, else the prize will be forfeited. The prize will be airdropped to the participant’s assigned wallet address.

- Refer your friends (more invites=more chances of winning)
- Provide Wallet
- Participants must complete as many steps as possible to increase the chance of winning. All potential winners will be required to have or create an ERC20/ UTU token compatible crypto wallet.
📚 How to use the UTU Protocol Testnet
To test the UTU Protocol Testnet, you’ll first use Ethereum’s Goerli test network to interact with a DeFi app that’s deployed there. You’ll then use Polygon’s Matic Mumbai test network (where UTU’s testnet is deployed) to provide feedback for the DeFi apps you just used. Please make sure that you’re using the same wallet address across all networks.
- You will need some MATIC on Polygon Mumbai testnet and ETH on Görli testnet in the following steps.
- Get Polygon Mumbai: https://faucet.polygon.technology/
- You can verify that MATIC has been sent to your address by adding Polygon Mumbai test network to your wallet and switching to it. Or you can just let the app add it for you later in step 5).
- Get Ethereum Görli: https://faucet.paradigm.xyz/
- There’s also the Görli Gitter community where one can ask for ETH if the faucet doesn’t work.
- Go to https://test-defi-portal.utu.io/ and connect your Metamask wallet.
- Follow the link to and use any of the protocols listed. You will be asked to switch to Görli testnet if not there already. You can swap, provide liquidity, or do anything else your heart desires.
- Go to test-app.utu.io and connect your wallet.
- Connect Twitter and/or Telegram accounts. You will be asked to add Polygon Mumbai test network to your wallet*, if it’s not already added, and then to switch to that.
- Return to https://test-defi-portal.utu.io/. The “Give feedback” button should now be visible for the protocols you transacted on Goerli earlier (though sometimes, it might take a while to show up, in which case you might want to check back some 15 minutes later or so).
- Give feedback and make an endorsement.
📚 How to verify endorsements
Endorsements can be verified on-chain on chain explorers, and you are also able to verify the fact that Twitter or Telegram was connected.

- When you endorsed a protocol and another user connected to you sees your endorsement, that other user will be rewarded some UTT. This happened for example in this transaction: https://mumbai.polygonscan.com/tx/0x8ecc52c2feb441daa0e28324c99724dde326e69134eb50874625945b8b0e38cd
- User 0xa104fc… endorsed 123 UTT
- Previous endorser 0x45cb8d… was rewarded 90 UTT
📚 Bug Bounty Details
The UTU Testnet Bug Bounty per bug found will be announced in the days to come. Stay tuned!
An $UTU BONUS will be awarded to the individual who successfully finds the most bugs (aka the Bug Bounty Champ).
There is no limit to how many bugs or how much feedback you can leave and we appreciate any and all submissions — this is an important phase for the project and hence we are happy to commit to unlimited $UTU rewards during the course of the program.
We will post a recap of the program results in July, where we will then shift our focus to the launch of the UTU Protocol Mainnet.

❔ Bug Bounty Program FAQ
Upon receiving a bug submission, the UTU Protocol dev team will try to replicate the scenario. If they can, they will fix it and that will be logged as a successful bug.
As for UI/UX feedback, it will be on a case-by-case basis to decide if the change makes sense. If we decide to implement the change, the bounty will be awarded.
For cases when more than one person submits the same bug/feedback, the reward will only be given out to the first person who submitted it.
